Hamburg Innovation is flying the flag for Hamburg at the world’s leading industry trade fair together with other technology transfer organisations and research institutes, presenting the city as a centre of innovation. For the first time for 15 years there will be a Hamburg joint venture stand at the Hannover Fair from 23 to 27 April. The concept was presented in a press briefing today at Hamburg Invest.

“The future of any location lies in research and innovation combined with good cooperation between research and industry. In Hamburg we have achieved a great deal in recent years,” said Deputy Mayor of Hamburg, Katharina Fegebank, who will also be visiting the fair.

“Innovation and technology transfer are the guarantors of a location’s future viability. In Hamburg we have excellent infrastructure with international key players from science and business. that means we can offer researchers, entrepreneurs and both new and established companies the best conditions for interaction, networking and transfer,” said Economics Senator Frank Horch.



Hamburg’s Senator for Economics, Transport and Innovation, Frank Horch, will open the stand on 23 April at 1130 hrs.

Deputy Mayor and Senator for Science, Research and Equality, Katharina Fegebank, will present the model cooperation in Hamburg between science and business on 25 April from 1800 hrs.
