About HI

Hamburg Innovation GmbH (HI) was formed in 2004 to give all of the higher education institutions in Hamburg a coordinated knowledge and technology transfer office.

HI and its affiliate TuTech Innovation form a bridge between research and industry for Hamburg’s universities. They link researchers with businesses and public administration, their skilled staff helping participants on all sides to find the right partners.

HI and TuTech play an important role in the City of Hamburg’s business development policy. HI’s business operations are carried out by TuTech. Martin Mahn is chief executive of both companies.
