TRACELESS\u00ae secures \u20ac36.6 million for construction of first industrial plant<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It is an important step towards the future: After its success in securing \u20ac36.6 million in the Series A investment round, the Hamburg-based bioeconomy start-up traceless materials will be able to produce its biocircular plastic alternative at an industrial scale in the future and thus sustainably replace many tonnes of plastic. The funding brings the founders, Dr Anne Lamp and Johanna Baare, another step closer to the goal of their mission \u201cto make a contribution to a regenerative, climate-friendly economy and a future free from plastic pollution\u201d.<\/b><\/span>.<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The funding round is led by the private equity fund UB Forest Industry Green Growth Fund (\u201cUB FIGG\u201d), which invests in sustainable and resource-efficient forest and bio-based industries. The round also involves SWEN Blue Ocean, which invests in innovations that help address the three existential threats to ocean health: overfishing, pollution, and climate change. A local banking syndicate consisting of GLS Bank, Hamburg, and Hamburger Sparkasse also participated in the financing round, as well as the company\u2019s three existing investors, Greentech investor Planet A Ventures, seed investor High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds (HTGF), and deep tech investor b.value. \u201cWe are convinced that UB FIGG and SWEN\u2019s Blue Ocean fund are a great addition to our shareholders as they have relevant knowledge in our industry. The fact that both our investors and the banks fully support our mission was a decisive criterion for us,\u201d said Dr Anne Lamp in the start-up\u2019s<\/a> official press release.<\/span><\/p>

The bold step of founding traceless materials in 2020 was successfully supported by Startup Port @TUHH<\/a> and the Calls for Transfer<\/a> funding programme, both offered by Hamburg Innovation.

Two successive C4T projects marked the start for an impressive series of follow-up funding. In addition to being honoured with the 2022 Gr\u00fcnderpreis, it is funding such as the current Series A that demonstrates the potential for success of start-up financing from C4T.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCalls for Transfer\u201d programme, made possible by the Hamburg Ministry of Science, Research, Equalities and Districts (BWFGB), has been promoting the transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology at Hamburg\u2019s public universities since 2018. The programme supports project applications from all disciplines for up to one year with a maximum of \u20ac30,000. The ninth call<\/a> marked the end of the successful C4T pilot phase, which has already enabled 134 ideas from Hamburg\u2019s universities to enter the realisation phase. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
